The Story

Handsome, evergreen woodland perennial, originally collected  by the Wynn-Jones' of Crug Farm, and closely related to lily of the valley. Tufts of narrow, grass-like dark green leaves form a dense carpet of upright dark foliage to around 8" tall. August-October, tiny pale pink flowers appear short stems, and are closely held to the base of each leaf tuft, berries follow. Site in shade to part shade in well-drained, amended soil with regular summer water. Hardy to USDA zone 7.
