The Story
Amazing gladiolus, originally found by the Plant Delights folks at an abandoned house in North Carolina, and rescued for all of us to enjoy. A vigorous variety, the flowers spikes reaching to 36" in July with cheery, butter-yellow flowers and reddish-brown throat. (Hummingbirds!) Multiplies very quickly in sun and well-drained soil with consistent summer moisture. Dies back in winter. Frost hardy to at least 0F, USDA zone 7, and into 6b. Possibly lower.
