Salvia gesneriiflora 'Mole Poblano'

A favorite shrubby sage from southern Mexico, producing leaves of over 6”, pleasingly scented and textured like velvet. Overall height and width about 4 ft. Late season, florescent orange trumpets are produced from autumn through winter if mild - eg. the coastal West. Even moisture in sun. Evergreen to about 26F, mid USDA zone 9; root hardy into the low to mid teens, mid zone 8, especially with mulch.
