The Story

2015 Cistus Nursery introduction, This from a high valley east of the Chiricahua Mountains in southeastern Arizona. Compact to about 25' with rounded crown and dense very blue foliage tinted red in spring. Excellent small garden or street tree. Prefers lean well drained soil and maybe a watering or two in the summer (summer monsoon) with full sun. Certainly frost hardy to USDA zone 7, quite possibly zone 6.
