Recently described species native to Nuevo León Mexico where it occurs at 6000' elevation, first recognized by Lyn Lowery of Yucca-do Nursery fame. Thought to be a trunking form of Dasylirion texanum; now recognized as its own species. Minty green twisting spine-edged 4 foot long narrow leaves form large rounded heads to about 6 feet across. Can form a trunk up to about 6ft tall with great age. For sun with gritty well drained soil with plenty of summer heat and occasional summer water where dry. Cold hardy to USDA zone 7b.
