'Little Gem' and C. laurifolius, created and named by British gardener Eric Sammons, with long slender green leaves, purplish stems, and showy white and gold-centered, papery flowers with distinct and very cool burgundy triangle-shaped markings radiating from the flower center. Height to 30" and width to 4-5'. Blooms all summer. Full sun in coastal gardens and part sun best inland in well-drained soils. Extremely drought tolerant. Frost hardy to USDA zone 8.
