The Story
From our friend Marcia Donahue, this Chilean clumping bamboo with arching burgundy canes and handsome narrow leaves. Upright then arching to about 12 to 15 ft. Sun to shade, one of the few summer drought tolerant bamboos. Suitable for either container or garden. Great screening/hedge or specimen plant. Most soils save for standing winter water. Cold hardy to 20 degrees USDA zone 9. Choice and rare.
