Begonia sutherlandii var. dissecta

One of the best hardy begonias in cultivation. These have pleasing orange flowers late spring to frost. This variety has apple green leaves tinted burgundy and deeply dissected for your viewing pleasure. Best in half sun with a fair amount of water in rich well drained soil. Plants reach 20" or so. Frost hardy in upper USDA zone 8. Also an excellent container subject. Dress with a light barky mulch or similar insulating material for extra winter hardiness.
