A petite and reliable Mediterranean native with evergreen leaves to 5" tall forming clumps to about 18" wide and producing vivid lavender flowers with yellow/gold markings from as early as late November to April. Open flowers can be damaged by cold weather but are quickly replaced when milder temps return. A welcome addition to the winter garden. Full sun to dappled shade with sharp drainage is best. USDA zone 7.
