Rounded shrubs usually to about 5 ft, occasionally to 8 ft, glossy green leaves with bronzed orange new growth and shredding orange bark. Light pink flowers early to mid winter. A wee bit more tolerant of garden water but likes free draining soil (grows in sand) . A good garden do-er. Sun to dappled shade. Prefers summer drought but can handle some summer water. Hardy to zone 7b/8a.
