The Story
A low, spreading perennial that forms a dense mat of small, rounded leaves and pale violet to white flowers. Prefers part shade to full shade and moist, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Regular water is important, especially in warmer weather, but avoid waterlogged conditions. It spreads steadily in favorable sites and works well as a groundcover in cool, sheltered areas.
