The Story
Shrubby evergreen perennial native to Madeira 3-4ft tall and a little wider. Light green leaves are heart-shaped with scalloped edges. Rose pink flowers on 6 inch stalks in abundance mid spring to mid summer. Excellent in the dry garden and in coastal conditions. Sun to light shade in well drained soil. Can go summer dormant in extreme drought but very occasional water keeps it green. Cold hardy to 20-25F. USDA zone 9a.
