The Story
In our never ending search for garden hardy evergreen Schefflera relations, here's one that's actually a Schefflera! This Taiwanese species grows eventually to 8 to 10 feet with graceful, deeply dissected palmate leaves in excess of 2 feet. Dappled shade to morning sun and loamy well drained soil with even summer moisture where dry. For those practicing “zonal denial”, this is one of the best for tropical vibes in cool temperate zones. Has proven hardy to a low USDA zone 8, possibly 7.
