Long, thin rosemary-like silver-green leaves on red stems. Bright yellow fall color. A fine textured deciduous shrub - upright to 10 feet x 4 to 5 feet. Useful and beautiful as a hedge as it responds well to pruning and trimming and can even be maintained by periodic coppicing to the ground. Full sun to part shade and regular water where dry, tolerates both periodic drought and poor drainage. USDA zone 3
