Another gorgeous evergreen currant, this growing to 3-4 ft tall and spreading to 6 ft, making a good ground cover, with aromatic leaves on dark red stems. Deep red flowers late winter to mid spring. Sun on the coast to shade in hotter climates with little supplemental summer water once established. Clay tolerant as long as not overly wet in summer. Frost hardy to 15F, USDA zone 8.
