*RETAIL - Rhamnus californica 'Leatherleaf'

One of the most beautiful collections of our native buckthorn, this 4 to 5 ft shrub produces densely held branches and 3”, dark shiny leaves curled just like a Pringles potato chip – but not as salty. Summer to autumn fruit is red turning black -- both usually appearing at the same time. Sun to bright shade. Very good plant for the summer drought landscape in all but the hottest afternoon sun. Frost hardy in USDA zone 7.
