Yet another great Kohuhu, this a compact, evergreen shrub with tiny, olive-green leaves on black stems, and intensely fragrant, tiny black flowers in spring. These open, airy shrubs make a pleasing specimen and also work as a hedge, taking well to a bi-yearly shearing. To 8-10 ft tall and about 4-7 ft wide. Full sun in milder climates to part shade in hot, dry areas. Likes well-drained soil and some summer water. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8.
