One of the boldest of the Jerusalem sages, this from the mountains of the Mediterranean to the middle east grows to about 18" in height an width with large light green leaves and soft yellow flowers in stacked whorls. Possibly the hardiest species has taken conditions into USDA zone 4 but perennial with leaves disappearing in late autumn and emerging in early spring, flowering by late may and June. Seed heads on sturdy stalks add visual interest in Winter. Easy about soils in Sun to part shade and drought tolerant when established.
