The Story
This hybrid of two lovely species combines the large compound leaves 2 feet or more of Mahonia gracilipes, with M. confusa's beautiful sprays of apricot to gold fall flowers. Evergreen to 5 to 6 feet tall; each rosette being 3 feet across topped with coppery new growth and pale leaf undersides, this makes a great focal point or under planting for light woodland with occasional summer water and average soil conditions. USDA Zone 7b.
