A useful, small-growing magnolia only to about 10-15 feet, with evergreen 3-4 inch leaves. Leaf stems and young leaves are covered with a coppery indumentum. The flowers are white to pale pink, and are produced in abundance in early to late spring, and then again sporadically later in the season. Excellent for small scale hedging or container specimens. USDA zone 7b or even perhaps 6a.
