The Story
This west coast native is a handsome and easy addition to the summer-dry garden or street-side. Tall, stately evergreen to 25 ft. These plants from acorns gathered in the Siskiyous. Best in well drained soils with at least afternoon shade at lower elevations. Frost hardy to at least 0°F. USDA zone 7, and possibly into zone 6.
