*RETAIL - Lindera megaphylla [Shaanxi Province]

From the warm temperate subtropical forests of southern China and surrounds, this is among the largest in the genus. Trees reaching 20 to 30 ft in a few years with old trees in habitat to 70 ft. Fragrant long narrow leaves up to 10 inches in length tending to be clustered at the ends of each branch often single-trunked and quite symmetric in form. Small creamy yellow flowers and small blackish fruit in autumn. Full sun to dappled shade consistent even if infrequent summer water in well drained soil. Hardy to USDA zone 8a.
