The Story
Handsome evergreen shrub or small tree, sporting shiny green leaves with yellow margins. This, a variegated mutation from Ilex x 'Nellie R. Stevens', is slower growing than 'Nellie' and appears to have more stable yellow variegation. To 15 ft tall with a pyramidal shape, easily maintained at half that with pruning. Great as a hedge or garden specimen. Site in sun to part shade for best color, and water regularly until established. Drought tolerant when well established but best with at least monthly summer irrigation where dry. Hardy to USDA zone 7.
