Another exciting new introduction from the Hesperaloe breeding program of Ron Gass. This compact selection’s grey-green rosette of leaves top out at 30” tall and wide. Compared to other false yucca, this plant displays loads of side branching on the flower spikes creating waterfalls of showy, tubular, pinkish-orange flowers. This tough plant thrives in full sun, reflected heat, and even tolerates some light shade if drainage is adequate. As with all Hesperaloes, hummingbirds are drawn to the nectar-rich blossoms. Hardy to 0F or below -- some say low as -20F.
