One of the Poorinda hybrids, thought to be a cross between G. juniperina and a yellow G. victoriae. An evergreen shrub, up to 6-8 ft tall and wide. With long leaves- dark green above and silvery on the undersides, and clusters of soft, frilly, yellow to apricot flowers in late winter through spring and occasionally throughout the year. Best in sun and lean, well-drained soil, with little water once established. Can be shaped in mid summer for best appearance. Frost hardy into the low teens F, USDA zone 8. As with all Proteacea, avoid phosphorus fertilizer.
