Another great clumping bamboo, half inch culms clothed in fine bright green leaves and upright to 12ft with a graceful arching habit and mature to attractive purple tones. Makes a fine screen or landscape feature 6-8ft wide at the base in time. Sun to dappled shade or at least afternoon shade inland. Best sited out of cold drying winter wind. Tolerant of heat and humidity. Regular summer water where dry. USDA zone 5.
