The Story
Cheerful and vigorous hybrid cross between C. 'Little Gem' and C. laurifolius, created and named by British gardener Eric Sammons, with long slender green leaves, purplish stems, and showy white and gold-centered, papery flowers with distinct and very cool burgundy triangle-shaped markings radiating from the flower center. Height to 30" and width to 4-5ft. Blooms all summer. Full sun in coastal gardens and part sun best inland in well-drained soils. Extremely drought tolerant. Frost hardy to USDA zone 8.
