The Story
Large and handsome evergreen camphor from southern China, with glossy green, deeply veined leaves and eye-catching, copper-colored new growth. Grows quickly to 15ft tall and then more slowly to 30ft or more. Does well in sun to part shade with summer water. Much more cold hardy than its near relation C. camphora, this clone has gone through temperatures as low as 0F, bottom of USDA zone 7.
