One of our favorite quinces, a nearly spineless shrub, to only about 4ft tall, with deep coral-orange flowers over a long season in winter and spring. We have planted ours with golden foliage plants such as Choisya ternata ‘Sundance’ for a dazzling winter effect, if we do say so ourselves. Excellent for cut flowers. Full sun to medium shade with at least occasional summer water to improve bud set. Frost hardy to -10F, USDA zone 6, possibly zone 5.
