A Cistus introduction, this coastal native, from coastal Oregon to southern California, normally an evergreen shrub about 6 to 8 feet, sporting shiny dark green leaves, and pleasing light blue flowers. This, our collection from Mt. Emily from the southern grows to 15 to 20 feet with an upright form and a thick, sturdy trunk - suitable for use as a small tree. Part to full sun, decent drainage. Hardy to USDA zone 7B.
