The Story
A 2017 Cistus introduction, this coastal native, from central Oregon to southern California, is normally an evergreen shrub about 6 to 8 feet, sporting shiny dark green leaves, and pleasing light blue flowers. This, our collection from the Hunter Creek area about 12 miles inland from the southern Oregon coast, grows to about 20 to 25 feet with an upright form and a thick, sturdy trunk - suitable for use as a small tree. Part to full sun, decent drainage. Hardy to USDA zone 7B.
