Tall, unusual shrub, to 8ft, with arching branches, small, oval, toothed leaves, and pale bark. Prefers sun or part shade in hottest climates with rich, well-drained soil and regular summer water. Root hardy in USDA zone 9 with mulch. A fine container plant elsewhere.
