This lovely Camellia features glossy deep green leaves, on bushy, upright plants to 6-10ft in height and 4-8ft wide. In late winter to early spring, single, pink flowers with yellow anthers emerge to liven up the scene. Full sun to shade in coastal climates, though best in light shade where they are protected from hot summer sun for those of us inland. Prefers well-drained, acid soil, moderate to regular water. A little more cold-tolerant than many Camellias, hardy to 10F, USDA zone 6b or lower.
