The peacock camellia is a unique and very graceful selection of Camellia japonica. The flowers are quite tubular and soft red with burnished white highlights. With leaves that are long, narrow, and graceful, the entire shrub takes on a slightly weeping, willowy quality. To 12ft tall by 8ft wide. Some have said the form itself is reason enough to grow this plant with the flowers a wonderful bonus. Full to part sun with some summer water. Definitely frost hardy to USDA zone 8, and probably lower in zone 7.
