A handsome and useful native, this, a ground covering shrub to 2ft tall spreading 5ft with small, fuzzy-ish gray-green leaves and creamy yellow, flowers in late winter often re-blooming in fall. Full to part sun. Tolerant of seaside wind and salt spray and deer resistant. Drought tolerant once established. Excellent forage for native pollinators in shoulder seasons. Frost hardy to 10°F., bottom of USDA zone 8.
