An extremely handsome Chilean evergreen shrub with glossy green leaves and intensely fragrant, yellow puff-ball, spring flowers. Multi-trunked to about 8ft or so. Best in protected spot when young, but much tougher with age. Part to full sun is best, out of east wind, but quite adaptable. Black fruit hangs on over the summer. Kinda cool, huh? Frost hardy in USDA zone 8.
