The Story
A 2011 Cistus Nursery introduction, This cross of Arbutus 'Marina' with A. unedo grows to 12ft to 15ft in height with compact rounded crown 4" glossy evergreen leaves; the bark checkered but retaining some red coloration of A.'Marina'. Abundant clusters of half inch bell flowers autumn-spring vary from light peach to pink depending on temperature. Small bright red fruit does follow. Useful in areas where marina is not reliably frost hardy. Full sun decent drainage, summer drought but accepts garden irrigation. USDA 7b-8a.
