From, yes, the Huachuca Mountains in southern Arizona and into northern Sonora, this beautiful gray-blue century plant forms a classic 20-24” artichoke shape, eventually offsetting to form small colonies. From mid-elevation (5-7000ft) this, though not the most frost hardy of the parryi clan, takes 10 to 15F in stride, mid to upper USDA zone 8, lower if very well drained. Full sun and summer water in Mediterranean areas.
