The Story
A lovely mimosa, becoming a large shrub or small, multi-trunked tree to 15ft with odd-looking soft, evergreen foliage - actually small phyllodes or flattened leaf stalks - held close to the stems, and abundant, fragrant yellow blooms in spring. Best in full sun and well-drained soil with little summer water needed once established. Frost hardy for brief periods in the mid teens F, mid to upper USDA Zone 8.
