A lovely evergreen oak – we do tend to think all evergreen oaks are lovely -- from Sonora, Chihuahua, Arizona and a dab in New Mexico. To 30 ft or so eventually, with a narrow crown and 2” powder-blue leaves aging to light green. This drought tolerant beauty should be much more commonly used in USDA zone 7 or above. Easy to grow in well-drained soil, preferring space with little competition from surrounding trees. As we like to say, “Get you some.” Enjoys full sun and free-drainage.
