One of the hardy Michelia group, once known as Michelia yunnanensis and more recently Magnolia dianica. Fabulous by any name. Ropey foliage trails and twines gracefully and covers itself with intensely fragrant white blooms in spring and summer. First rate cinnamon indumentum on the buds! Sun to half shade with regular summer water. Can reach 8-12 ft in time. Frost hardy in USDA zone 8.
