This a seed collection from one of our favorite haunts in northern lake county CA., the origin of many a selection. These seedlings are robust and supplemented with their native mycorrhizae. Each should range from 4 to 6 feet in height with an upright form and strongly orange colored bark with narrow green leaves tinted bronze with new growth. Flowers a bit later than some, beginning in January and often lasting through March. Each tiny urn looks to be floating among the wiry flower stalks and white to mid pink. Mineral soil, dry summers, full sun to dappled shade USDA zone 7b.
Ericaceae
